A Little About US

Furnish

\ˈfər-nish\-to provide what is needed; especially  :  to equip with furniture

When we made the decision to establish our staging company we wanted a name that embodied many meanings. Furnish seemed like the perfect choice. While typically used in reference to furniture, at its core, Furnish embodies the act of providing. Here at Furnish we strive to  provide you with inspiration and knowledge, whether that be with tips on how to improve your home, color recommendations, photos of our recent projects, or of course with our specialty-staging. It is our hope that in whatever capacity you encounter Furnish, you'll walk away having learned something new or feeling motivated to try something different.

Our team

Furnish is a woman-owned and operated business lead by a mother-daughter team. Together we oversee all aspects of our projects from the bidding phase all the way to move in and completion. Each item brought to the home is carefully curated by us to enhance the property’s best qualities and personality. Great attention is paid to ensure the furniture is arranged to maximize traffic patterns so each room feels as spacious as possible. In addition, we take into consideration how a property will be photographed when making decisions regarding furniture layout in order to draw in the eye of prospective buyers searching online.

When buyers visit a home staged by Furnish, they are welcomed by a space that feels warm yet contemporary. Unlike most other stagers, we don’t rent our furniture so a property staged by us is distinct and unique. Your property won’t look like everything else on the market.

Danette

Danette  Davis grew up in San Francisco and the Peninsula. She graduated with a degree in Interior Design from San Francisco State University. Following graduation, Danette worked with a residential designer in Kentfield, CA. The firm worked on all stages of the design process completing a variety of residential projects in Marin County.

After several years with the firm, Danette started her own company, working both in residential and commercial design. With a family pedigree of real estate professionals, Danette transitioned her interior design skills to the home staging profession and has excelled in the field for the past 15 years. As a certified color consultant, she specializes in combining textures, patterns, and colors to establish a warm and inviting atmosphere within the home

Danette approaches staging with the philosophy of highlighting positive features of the home to transform a “nice” home into a desirable product. For each property, Danette selects furnishings, which are based on the best use of the space. The placement of those furnishings is established after careful consideration of traffic patterns. She believes staging is a vital part of the process of marketing a home and aims to appeal to the broadest group of homebuyers while leaving a lasting impression on potential  buyers.
